Sport injury specialist search

    Hi,
I'm currently training for this year's Dublin City marathon and managed to get myself shin splints. I'm wondering if anyone can guide me in the right direction of a physio/sports injury specialist. I'm based in Lusk, North County Dublin would be ideal?
    Tx, Shina

Hi Shina, I'm out in Lusk too but wasn't too impressed with the physio down at the local medical centre. I found a really good one in Glasnevin near enough to where I work I can give you the details but not exactly handy for Lusk!

You might consider Santry Sports Injury Clinic.

    Hi,
Thanks for the info. I quickly looked up the Sports clinic in Santry and it's a bit more expensive than I'd like.
Skylarker could you give me info on the place in Glasnevin? I'd ideally like to go to someone who isn't just a physio, but knows about athletics as I've loads of questions to ask. Also, cost is an issue, not too expensive? Thanks for info!

Bodyworks is at the top of Mobhi road near the junction with Griffith Avenue (phone 01.8844490). They are general sports specialists not specifically running but I imagine they've had plenty of shinsplint cases! I think the initial fee is €50 but I think it's usual for follow-up fees to be lower (in Lusk it was something like 50 then 40). However I've been 3 times and never needed a follow up

Thanks Skylarker for the information. I'll give them a call.
