Do you really, really need an appointment? I rarely make an appointment when all I need is my Pill prescription! Afaik, Boots chemists have a doctor in 'em so maybe you could pop in to one of those to get a prescription.

Go to your regular chemist, explain your situation and they'll most likely give you one month. Just don't make a habit of it!

I tend to just do a really helpless look at the receptionist and she'll say, "Okay, okay, we can fit you in" :pac:

The Boots in Liffey Valley has a doctor you can see, right down the back where you get medication etc. So does another chemist on O'Connell St across from McDonalds, forget what it's called.

You should be able to just call your doc and tell him you need a renewel. You dont need to make an appt because you saw him the las time- 6 months is usually the norm for a checkup.

This is what I do and as far as I know its standard practise as long as you are a patient of theirs:)

True say , if you call them they will leave the write up out for you , you only need to go every 6 months for blood pressure check etc .

They charge 20 euro i think ... if you are not on medical card or whateves !

Yikes. I havent been to my Doctor for a perscription or check up for the pill for about two years now. The chemist just keep giving it every month along with the other bits and pieces that my family get. Hmmm.

Should really go and see him and get a blood pressure check done.
