    Hello

there is nothing special about Damon braces except their marketing department.

They are called "self ligating"braces which means they have little clips to hold the wires, not elastics. They claim to cause less pain and get better results by expanding the jaws but none of these claims have been verified by good independent research. Interestingly the current Damon bracket is about the 5th version in the last 8 years, each one claiming to be better than the last but some of them, particularly the clear ones fell apart!

It is not the type of brace that make difference but the dentist or orthodontist doing the work. If the person is properly trained they should get a good result. Your braces are now about 6 months so you should be seeing something positive by now
