Legal advice needed for Car Insurance

    Hey there,

Just wondering if anyone could help me and see what grounds I have for a case. The situation is near 3 years ago i witnessed an accident where by the other person tried to implicate me despite having no damage done to my car. i got my insurance assessor out, they said no way i was to blame after hearing both sides of the story. Case closed or so i thought!!

Found out a week ago that the said insurance company had paid out a 70/30 split despite the assessors report! They never notified me and this was done between insurance companies and not actually paid out to the individual. Apparently the insurance companies have meetings quarterly and the other fellas insurance company brought this and they decided to split it 70/30 against me!! I find this ridiculous and has to be in breech of some law.

So to make them seem even guiltier to me they have allowed me keep my no claims bonus of 5 years and said there will be no premium charges related to this. When i pointed out this restricts me from moving insurance company without paying seriously high insurance (24 year old male) they then offered me €250 in vouchers as well as the above to allow for this. This seems crooked to em can some one please give me advice do I have a case. Oh also I have not had any proper clarification of why they paid 70/30 split or have never at any stage received any sort of documentation or communication to notify me of the claim being paid.

Thanks to anyone who can help me here!!

Solicitor. Sorry we don't do advice, but if we did it might be something like a Carlsberg advert ..... wrong.
