Im doing a triathlon soon and Im thinking of buying a suit,Ive found a 2XU Comp Tri Suit. The main reason for getting the suit was for the open water swim,I really dont like cold water :) The stupid questions I must ask all your help with is.....will it keep me much warmer? can I wear the same suit for the cycle and the run? and does it dry off quickley?? thanks in advance for all your help!!!

The wetsuit is mandatory Fitman but dont get confused between that and a trisuit. The wetsuit should but does not have to be a triathlon specific wetsuit, just a triathlon spoecfic wetsuit will be quicker than using a normal eg surfing wetsuit.

That 2xu you mention if I am right is something you wear under the wetsuit so it saves you time putting on clothes after you take the wetsuit off. It can double as a running outfit and has a small bit of padding for the bike also

I think they work out to be around 80 euros, unless you are planning to be very competitive you dont need this to take part, keep an eye out in your local Aldi store they were on sale for 17.99 last week or just put on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt when you take off the wetsuit

Em no it doesn't keep you any warmer. A thin film of water will be between you and the suit and its your body heat (increasing as you swim and your heart rate goes up) that will keep you warm.

Yes you can wear it for the cycle and run. Just take off the suit, put on your helmet and Go! If its chilly or windy you can put on another top for the cycle to limit the wind chill factor. If its sunny and warm make sure you put on the P20 or you will develop some nice red tri suit lines!

Finally, yes it dries off quickly thats one of the benefits of waering one :)
