do you mean just for the bride herself - or bride&groom present

I'd imagine the bridesmaid would give a gift, should she see fit as any of the other guests , to the Bride & Groom - but specifically an extra something to the bride, I woudln't think so!

    hi,

im already giving the bride and groom a cash present! but somebody told me that the bridesmaids have to also buy a gift between them for just the bride as a thank you for asking us to be her bridesmaids!

No, quite the opposite in fact. The bride traditionally will present gifts to her bridesmaids. If this has changed it's quite a new thing.

Yeah, as above, it's traditional for the bride to give the bridesmaids a small gift, such as a piece of jewellery, to thank them for being bridesmaids. I've never really heard of it being the other way round.

This is nonsense! The bridesmaids are doing the bride a favour by being bridesmaids so no gift to the bride as a thank you for asking her bridesmaids to be bridesmaids!
