Given the recent clamp down on restricted bikes, I've decided to bite the bullet and a get my bike(restricted but no cert) Dyno'd.

Does anyone know a good place to get it done around dublin? how much is it usually?

both NDM, and RPM have inhouse dynos, and get high praise from other bike forums

I know it's frowned upon to talk about the other forum - but if you get onto anto (some muppet) he'll give you a cert for a certain amount of cash if you can prove to him that it's restricted... I think he takes it for a rip down the road... he wont do it if it's not restricted tho.

He fitted the Restrictor's, Its chasing him for the cert though, I've had some work done before with him but any time I've been up there he's forgot or I've forgot about it.

I'm gonna be up to him to get my chain done in a couple of weeks, Might mention it before I go up.

I still wouldn't mind getting the exact figure from a Dyno though.

Dynos aren't very good at giving exact figures, they're really only useful for tuning and back to back comparison runs.

Must scan in my 119 bhp (at the wheel) as opposed to the Suzuki claimed 105bhp (at the crank) graph.

Power commanders are great, and I second NDM.

Not that the above figures are any good to people interested in restricted graphs, but it would be interesting to see some actual ones posted, and how they compare to unrestricted versions.

If the bike has been restricted a retune might be beneficial. But I wouldn't bother if your just looking for something to satisfy the guards.
You would just be spending money for a piece of paper and the guards could still give you hassle. Anyone could get their bike Dyno'ed then remove the restrictor.

You both would be better served going to an actual mechanic and getting your bikes restricted. Not some chancer that works out of his shed.

Any further discussion of that site will result in a banning from this forum.

What makes him not an actual mechanic. You might think he is a chancer others are recommending him.
How far away from your house are you supposed to work?

You might want to update the charter with a list of names we cant mention.

Its ok to mention the site if your trying to be smart and purposely misspell it, is that right?

Yes, especially here on boreds.ie as we're known on "other" sites ;)

I couldn't give a **** what way people spell things but if we are not allowed mention a site it should snipped and not changed by a mod.

It should also be in the charter before people start getting bans for it.

Have been thinking about doing this too if anyone knows how much a single run and a printout would be?
My situation is driving a '96 Hornet 250, think stock bhp is 36 so it's probably under the limit by now but would be good to have something in writing.
