strange days

Did ever have a day that was not planned but turned out to be something you never expected?I did and its something i still have a grin from ear to ear about.

Friday just gone i got a phone call from a friend of mine and the call goes something like this.

james;hey cruiser how are you?

cruiser;fine james how you getting on?

james;im good im good,amm ammmm,cruiser can you do me a favour?

cruiser;if i can,ya,wats up

james;ammm ammmm,i need you to do a few things in town,can you help me out?

cruiser;ya wot?

james;just meet in hassets pub in 30 mins

cruiser;ok

So 30 mins later im in<said pub>i walk in and there is 3 lads standing on front of me dressed in, shrek,tweety bird and barney costumes.I think(to myself) wtf is going on here.Then i see an empty spongebob squarepants costume and think,oh sihe.
My friend says to me,cruiser i need you to dress up as sponebob,go into town and give out leaflets,,CAN YOU IMAGINE THE SHAME,i was horrified,so after much persuasion i said yes

So all 4 of us go into town(in a minibus, im mortified)theres me,(as spongebob) shreak,tweety bird and barny we get dropped of in the middle of the city,,then something happens that i was'nt expecting.
The kids didnt see me,as me, they saw thier fav cartoon character.They ran up to me hugging and puting their arms around me.
My mood changed in an instant, from,get me the fcuk outa here, to,wow just look at the faces on those kids meeting their cartoon idle.
Their faces lit up when they saw us

so my question is,what strange/satisfying days have you had,when you were not expecting them

^^^ Class story

Went to drop a girl to an airport in Vancouver one morning to go out to Vancouer Island, we got held up so drove her to the ferry.
Well we got that far so we ended up driving onto the ferry, we were actually in the worng libe so had no choice , and ended up there for a couple of days.

Those couple of days happened to be some of the best of my life, wont say much of what happened but kinda came around in a graveyard, kinda, with a bag of monkey nuts in my hand and a strange girl in my arms and a homeless fella composing impromtu poems about our exoperience for the night an mushies falling out of his pockets.
And to top it all off on the ferry back we came across a pod of killer wales which they slowed down for and they swam and jumped beside the ferry

Ah good times. Now I'm in Mayo. FML

ya i know and thats i why wasnt sure to post it here or not.
