openoffice/neo office crashing

    Hi there,

    have a quick question, openoffice (and neo office) always crash on me as soon as I try to do anything other than read a document.

    Does anyone know why this is? because obviously it works perfectly for most people?

    my mac is: B991B/A MBP 13.3 if that helps.

    if this is something that could be fixed I would love it as I am using google docs the last while but would prefer a better solution (considering buying one at this point)

    It could be font issue or corrupt preferences, first go to your home folder, then to library, then to preferences, delete any preferences in there relating to open office.

    Next download font finagler, or even better onyx for your specific operating system, then clear the caches, see if that works.

    Downloaded Onyx and did the font cache etc, also it fixed a crap load of permissions! reinstalled openoffice and so far working perfect! Spreadsheets that never used to even open work fine! :)
