Yeah his last fight against Hosono was great.
    Thanks for the notification.

Two fairly handy defences for him after winning the title. I hope he makes a "name" for himself and we get to see his future fights.

I wouldn't call taking on an undefeated Japanese in Tokyo as a "handy defence".

By all accounts it was a tough fight.

Not a walk in the park by any means but he wasnt forced into a fight with a top fighter in the division is all. We see too many world class fighters not making names for themselves. Look at what marquez and Vasquez went through for a fraction of what Hatton or Kahn would earn. The division isnt as deep as it was a year or two ago so he has a chance to be the top dog for quite a while.

maybe so but it wasn't as if it was a routine defense, which many fighters take after winning a title, it was a very tough fight.

With all the protests going on in Thailand at the minute it will be interesting to see if this goes ahead.

With Hozumi Hasegawa losing to Fernando Montiel at Bantamweight, a fight with Poonsawat would be an ideal comeback, considering Hasegawa has being weight drained at bantamweight for some time. This would be some explosive battle between two heavy punnchers.

Poon already called him out after he beat his last opponent as Hasegawa was in the crowd that night. I doubt Hasegawa will fight him coming off a brutal loss like that. Poon is one of the most avoided, he is the Williams of the little guys. He wants to fight Nishioka in his back yard aswell but he's tied up with a fight with Munroe now.

Tough fight alright but as a world title defence its not exactly a 50/50 fight. I reckon poon is fighting in japan to lure Hasegawa or Nishioka into a fight.

The Poon won a 4th round TKO. The beast goes onwards and upwards. Who would you like to see next? Nishioka, Montiel? I think he is a bit short to move up to featherweight.

Jeez, ever since PK ko'd Dunne it's like he is the new messiah.

Is he really all that? I mean, it was Dunne he ko'd, not ****ing Juan
Manuel Lopez. PK is good, very good, but I wouldn't be ready to
say he is the beast. At 122 he is highly rated, but only since
    the two best have moved.

Personally I see him having big problems with Caballero, Lopez (if he moves up)
    Gamboa and some others

It looks like PK is getting a nice contract with Golden Boy and will be fighting in the US more often.

In fairness he is an animal of a fighter and the stand out number one in the divsion. When 122 was stacked with talent he was viewed in the same light as all the big boys. Cant ask more than that. Plus saying he wouldnt beat guys outta his weight class is irrelevant when he makes SB easy.

That is why I said IF he moves up.
