Hi everyone, long time boards user here, but I've never posted in this forum before..
This might sound a little strange, but any suggestions are welcome!!

Both myself and my OH are white wine drinkers. However, (as with everyone I'm sure!!), people come to the house with red wine as presents, when we have guests over. At this stage, we've got more red wine than we know what to do with, and most of it appears to be good wine. We know some of the bottles are very good anyway!Anyway, (here's the strange part) I'm running out of space by now for storage as there's a lot of white wine there too, and I was trying to figure out how to offload a few bottles. Nobody we know really drinks it (and I'd be afraid that I'd be giving someone back the present they gave me!) so it's not possible to "re-gift". Does anybody out there have any ideas as to what I could do with it? It's all just sitting there - some of it for the last 2 years or more -and it seems an awful waste of money! We're only talking maybe 10 bottles here that I could do with giving to a good cause - I would hold on to a couple for cooking etc. Any suggestions? (and no, they're not available for the personal consumption of boards users in the food & drink forum!!!!!)

If you know anyone doing a raffle or table quiz for a charity, they might appreciate it.

Sorry to hear about your predicament.

Are you really opposed to drinking red wine? If not, I'd suggest you drink it.

Why not ask your friends (even those who don't like wine) if they would be interested in having a sort of wine tasting? Then, you could find out information on the internet and pretend you know loads about it.

Well...not opposed to it exactly. But we'd end up cracking open a bottle only drinking a glass, and having it sitting there for months afterwards.Seems a shame to waste it like that to be honest!
