I am recovering from a back injury and it got me thinking?

Do you have a golfing injury?
Does it affect your golf as in prevents you playing and for how long?
    How long is your recovery?
What preventative measures do you use?

Yesterday I caddied for mixed, gent had bad back, lady bad shoulder.

Just curious and sorry if this has been asked before

I'm currently lying on the flat of my back after collapsing on my teeshot on my 5th hole today, not fun.

Had a car crash 3 years ago but those injuries were all muscle/tendon injuries much further up. Hoping I've just twinged something and will be ok in a few days. Playing the worst golf of my life and thought things couldn't go more down hill!

f22 thats terrible - happened to me my putt which was also final putt in Australian Spoons, collapsed on green, got to fringe where I did some stretches, managed to get up and putt saw my osteopath 2 hours later.

    Weak back

Current injury - strained facet joint

Golf - not played in 2 weeks

    Recovery - usually quicker

Preventation - back and core strengthening exercises, then I forget then back reminds me!

Swear by my osteopath. Pity I only bother seeing him when I need to should see him more regularily keep back in good shape

Its all a pain in the backside!!

I'm just coming back after pretty much missing around 3 seasons with injury, had 2 surgeries on my hip and groin, and I can tell you its difficult to get the game back !:) Was off 3 when i got injured, now 7 (but coming down, 1.2 lost this year so far !)

Can't recommend highly enough a regime of core strengthening and flexibility - in reality it'll take maybe 15 mins a day but worth a lot more than that.

    My tuppence worth anyway.

At the start of the year when i started to get back playing again my left ankle would get very sore, dont know what was wrong with it , probably a bit weak or something.
I then just started to do some stretches to loosen it out before i would play and it has been 100% ever since thankfully.

Just home after playing a round of golf with a rightly crocked body! Have a broken bone in my hand, neck strain & lot of aches after a very bad fall off a horse last weekend. Still managed a half decent round, haven't added up score yet though. (managed to hit pin on a par 3 leavin a tap in for birdie!)
