Any paint/bodywork gurus here that can advise me?

Just over 2 months ago the other half's car went back to the Audi dealer to have a scratch on the boot repaired. Since then, having read that it can take 9 months for paint to fully cure, I have been careful not to wax/polish the repaired area as this apparently can slow down/interfere with the process. Well, possibly due to a hangover (oops!) when I'd washed the car yesterday I used some polish/wax over the top of the boot lid! Should I be trying to remove it with something or should I leave well enough alone and hope it will be fine?

    Thanks

I wouldn't worry. Nine months is enough.

    But it's only been 2?

    It will be fine.

I've often had cars come straight from the bodyshop - machine polished & waxed them with no problems.

Not to worry, detailing freaks have the net full of OTT weirdness, polish and wax away to your hearts content. I remember seeing a thread where one of the nutters did a job on his vacuum cleaner as he was bored or something
