I was in currys recently looking at LCD tvs and noticed one that seemed to have a much smoother animation that the other ones, for all the world it seemed to have a much higher frame rate than all the rest.

I`m thinking its a 100hz or 200hz TV, but the strange thing was that it seemed to be connected to the same video source as all the other TVs, including a whole bunch of other 100/200 hz tvs but the frame rate appeared to be the same. I didnt note the name / model of the TV. Is the improved motion due to the TV being 100hz, or is there something I`m missing out on ?
