Tickets go on sale tomorrow according to the stadium announcer last night. Check the Leinster website.

Anyone know what time the tickets go on sale at? Can't seem to find it on the leinster site

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 813 ✭✭✭dave13

Tickets will probably go on sale to Season ticket holders this week.
I think a public sale will have to wait until the ospreys return theirs as they are entitled to 50%.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭durkadurka

Are you sure about the 50%, because in theory that would leave some STH's without a ticket.

Although in reality, I'd be amazed if the ospreys took more than 1000.
If they can only persuade 7000 to see them at home, their travelling support will be negligible.

I'd say anyone who wants one will get a ticket in the end.

osperys have asked for 2,500 on there website and there selling tickets 2moro at 10am is it the same for us on ticketmaster.ie?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 813 ✭✭✭dave13

I've seen it mentioned in a few articles but cant be certain. But given its a final it makes sense, its up to the home team to find a location to satsify demand. Depends how leinster structure it but they can probably offer the ospreys half of the standard capacity(9250) and still have enough for STH's to be guaranteed a ticket with the increased capacity.
Pretty moot point anyway, as it'll be impressive if the ospreys can even bring 3K considering only 7K showed up for the semi at home last week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 491 ✭✭flav0rflav

From Ospreys site, (should be enough tickets for locals)
We have requested an initial allocation of 2,500 tickets from Leinster Rugby, and expect to receive them over the next day or two. However, in the meantime, we will be selling tickets as from 10am tomorrow, and will be issuing vouchers in place of tickets. Tickets can then be collected when convenient, or they can be forwarded by Royal Mail Special Delivery (£6.75 per transaction) if preferred.

Please note that we will NOT be selling or sending any tickets to supporters from Ireland (except existing season ticket holders & members). There is no limit to number of tickets purchased, though Ticket Office staff DO reserve the right to refuse sales of tickets if deemed necessary.

PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKETS WILL ONLY BE ON SALE UNTIL SATURDAY 22nd MAY AT 4PM, after which tickets will be returned to Leinster Rugby for sale to their own supporters.

Anyone know why leinsterfans site is down? Is this the start of a munster cyber attack?

Ticketing arranegements for the Magners League Grand Final between LEINSTER v OSPREYS on Saturday, 29th May (KO: 6.30pm) in the RDS will be confirmed within the next 48 hours...

Leinster Season Ticket holders will have first option to purchase tickets and it is expected there will be a small number of tickets on public sale

leinsters website nervious wait ahead lads

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,389 ✭✭✭Thanos

    hmmmmm Tickets
Does that mean you can buy more then one (assuming you have one ST)
Very sketchy on the details, seems like they just put that up so people would stop ringing them or emailing them............................

I'd say they'll do it the same way they did the Clermont game....give season ticket holders the opportunity to buy their own ticket first, and then offer them more in a lottery.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭durkadurka

Will demand be greater than for the munster game? I suspect not. Yes its a final but a local derby probably trumps it.

In that case I'd say everyone will get a ticket.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,692 ✭✭✭shawpower

Can any Munster fans remember what kind of numbers went from the Ospreys to the game in Thomond in the HEC last year? Possibly about the same number will travel to this final?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,079 ✭✭✭Mr.Applepie

I emailed tickets@leinsterrugby.ie about the tickets and season ticket holders should be getting an email today or tomorrow with ticket details.

I missed the semi so no way I'm missing this!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,692 ✭✭✭shawpower

Tickets are now on sale to Season Ticket holders via their Leinster Ticketmaster account.

Nothing on the Leinster website yet, but if you go to your ticketmaster page, you can buy your 1 ticket for this match.

Suggestions that general sale will start at 6pm this evening, which is a crap time to start at.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭durkadurka

My email from leinster branch says the season ticket holders have until Thursday 4pm to buy their own seats.

But from 4pm today till 10am tomorrow we can buy extra seats before the public sale.

    Public sale from 10am tomorrow.

Expect another allocation when the Ospreys send back their spares. Another allocation when the season ticket holders who are not going have their seats sold. Probably Thursday

Then another allocation when they decide to put up the extra little stands if the demand is there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,692 ✭✭✭shawpower

Yeah, I posted that before the email went out. Cheers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭durkadurka

A lot of people don't get the emails for some reason, always worth posting it up here.

I presume this will be a sell-out and a mad rush for tickets?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭durkadurka

I think you'll be ok if you're reasonably on the ball.

I would guess lower demand than the munster game last week, but we're in uncharted waters because this is a new event.

Can't seem to get any from the 4pm sale.

    Anyone else having problems?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,389 ✭✭✭Thanos

yep! no luck here either :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,692 ✭✭✭shawpower

I got in, and selected 1 ticket. Then put in my two word code. But when I clicked continue, it dropped out saying site was undergoing maintenance.:rolleyes:

Guess it's back to the 10am sale tomorrow then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,389 ✭✭✭Thanos

Well, give it a few minutes, could be that there are a few hundred people all trying to get in at the same time..............................

If you use the link in the email from Leinster Ticket Office to season ticket holders, it will let you select up to 2 tickets, but when you enter the 2 word code, it comes back to say no tickets available.

So the first batch are sold out. General Sale tomorrow at 10am.

I know about 6 people who tried this around the 4pm mark, and only one person got tickets. So I'd say this batch was very small to season ticket holders, and the bigger batch will be those on gen sale tomorrow. With more to come when Ospreys send back there excess as well. Given what Jerry Collins said about the Ospreys fans, I'm sure there will be plenty coming back to us. :)

Working now. Got 2 south tickets for the folks. Was trying for North but that must be where they are putting the Ospreys as there are none available.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,140 ✭✭✭olaola

They are still on sale for the Anglesea. Pricey but available. Just go in through the ticketmaster site, chose leinster rugby and find tickets. That's all I've done and see free tickets there.

Edit, scratch that, it's only through the email from Leinster rugby. If you didn't get that, you won't get tickets at the moment.

Yeah, only tickets available are the Anglesea now. If you select Grandstand or South stand it says no tickets available.

Actually just tried again, and seems Anglesea are gone now as well. Nothing left at all.

So does that mean more will go on sale tomorrow, as the Leinster website still says that tickets will go on sale at 10am tomorrow? Or is this another example of mistakes between Leinster and Ticketmaster?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭durkadurka

Bit of a shambles, I just got a mail saying that are all gone, and there MAY be more tomorrow at 10am.

Doesnt seem to be exclusive to STH's either

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 206 ✭✭big dan

Forgot about this until 4:20. Tried for 2 North stand tickets but it said there were none left. Tried best available and it gave me 2 North stand tickets! Ticketmaster is a bit odd sometimes.
