    Hi guys,

I'm finally getting out as I can't take anymore:mad: they say I have to give them 2 months notice which suits me fine. When should the two months start from.

Last Bill: From 14/04 to 13/06

so would two months notice be from 14/06 to 13/08

or can I give 60 days (two months) notice from now.

Does notice have to be by letter or will email be accepted.

I guarantee I will get a final bill for more than is due.:(

My advice for dealing with all telecommunications and utility companies on matters like this is to write to them on paper and send a registered letter.

Make sure that you include the line :

"Sent by recorded delivery - tracking number on file" in the RE: line at the top of the letter.

Then, you can't really have any arguments with them :)

After a couple of days, log into the An Post website and ensure that you retrieve the delivery record details for the item. You can even get the details of who signed for it.

Keep these on file along with a copy of the letter and any other correspondence that you send to them.

It's a bit of a hassle, but it avoids a LOT of agro !

That is an excellent piece of advice and applies to any communication you wish to make to any entity, and do not wish to dispute later. I got to the "always put it in writing bit and register the letter, but you closed the loop and removed any ambiguity that might be "manufactured" at a later date. Its so comprehensive that I copied down the post for future ref. Thanks

And if you have a stb (for the digital service) from them, ring them the day after the service is terminated and ask them to collect it..
