    Hi all,

I'm looking for opinions. I went to look at a 106GTI this evening, fell in love with it straight away! Only problem is it has 128K miles on it and the owner wants €2,500 for it. I'm interested in it as a second car, somewhat of a long term project more than anything else.

What's a fair price cos €2,500 seems a bit steep to me! Bear in mind that other than the mileage it's mint and definitley doesn't look like its has 128K on the clock!

    And the year is?

    I wouldn't pay 2500 personally.

Sorry, forgot to include the year! It's a '97. He won't be gettin offered anywhere near 2500, just wondering whats a sensible offer to wave in his direction really!

I'd try getting an insurance quote. 10+ years or older & GTI......... As far as a value goes. Dunno, I haven't seen the car.

Don't worry he won't be getting near 2500 for it. It's a stupid price!
