its hard to like dublin

why do people say 'no problem' when you ask for a coffee or whatever or where ever you are. I didnt think it would be a problem. when you think of the word problem you think of some big serious thing that is has consquences that affect your life I hate that term no problem.

Everything really annoys me about dublin im from donegal people generally there are so easy going and fun. Its hard to like dublin i have been living down here for 2 yrs I find that dublin is the worse place for shopping crowds and people walking in to you its hateful security gaurds that follow you and single you out. why do some dublin not talk properly they dont pronouned their ts is it a speech impediment.

why do some people that work or shop in brown thomas think they are Jesus and many people under 30 are arrogant and materialistic it takes humility to be like Jesus not arrogance your not better or worse than anyone else you were born alone and you will die alone. why are alot dublin people very serious all about rules and regulations and dont use their own minds ever.

why do I have noticed that alot of the young people talk in the same tone about the same subjects using the same expressions that is very sad that they dont want to be themselves maybe that is why they act pretentious, its probably a phase i would think.

How come alot of men down here winge, complain and cry not literally about nothing that hasnt been done before. Its hateful to hear a man talk about people behind their back but maybe thats how society is going well down here anyways its harder to find a decent man that has honour well men in donegal in general are different at least they dont winge and cry about nothing and talk about others if they have something to say they will say it to their face.

another thing i noticed here is that I dont see much diversity in dublin people say its a cultural city well in UCD i dont see much intergration well from my experience many of the irish students arnt that open to other races. its sad because people are people its sad people dont take some one for who they are their heart and personality. another thing why is it that no one stands up for their rights why dont they be true to their own hearts when there is injustice, people must be having mental break downs with the oppression and repression of their feelings. Where does the anger go or maybe they are ignorant and dont know so ignorance is bliss. or maybe those people dont want truth and justice because its facing reality.

Why do many african women seem to be itching for a fight, well i think they are african maybe west indies. many african women are calm and nice too. i never ever got that from the chinese or indians but im sure i would because they are always grumpy people.

I am wonder also does any one else find its very hard to listen to migrants especially eastern europeans and africans with dublin accents or a southern irish accent especially the dublin accent. Its not easy on my ears anyways and they talk like dublin people and use the same expressions. That is very sad why dont they talk english and express themselves in their own way with their own personality

the radio sations are terrible here too and i dint know there was that many stupid people existing until i listened to fm104s fone show . its amazing how some of those people are that stupid and alive at the same time.

I, like a lot of others(probably) was complaining about Dublin people, not the city. I have a good few mates in Dublin from other areas of the country and I love living here for that reason. That and I have a good job thankfully. I like it when Dublin people assume people are "gombeens" or "culchies in knitted sweaters" if not from Dublin. The exact reason and point of disliking them in the first place.

it's called a city. Many people in Ireland (who don't live in Dublin) have a problem with Dublin because there aren't many large urban areas on this island and they are not used to the urban way of life (including people in cities). Get over it, or leave.

There's so much wrong with the OP's post I can't be bothered with a full dissection of it.
Generally, if you can't fit in somewhere, or think an entire city is shíte by generalising everyone negatively, it's your problem, not the city's.

And yes, i know i just contradicted myself there

I love the way anyone from outside Dublin is labelled as a culchie, as if being a Dub is the height of class and sophistication.
