EI 105 to New York last Sunday also reported engine problems before take off and the passengers had to be transferred to a new plane. My sister was on that flight.
It was an Airbus 330, I wonder if it was the same aircraft

The chacne is very slim. The incident you describe sounds precautioinary while the Orlando incident was serious. Also I think EI sent the larger A330-300 on the EI105 while Orlando is served by the A330-200. Again who knows what aircraft did what during all the ash disruption recently.

The 330 in Orlando suffered a total engine failure at 300 feet after take-off and the incident lasted 11 minutes, not 15 as posted in some papers. The engine is a write-off.The other 330 incident was aileron trouble.
    regards
