    Hi,

Your help would be appreciated with this. I recently changed computers. I thought that I had done enough with my itunes account that there would not be any changeover issues. I authorised my new computer as one of the 5 to use the account. I have an iphone and ipod. While syncing the ipod the following message appeared - "Are you sure that you want to sync music? All existing songs and playlists on the phone will be replaced with songs and playlists from your itunes library"
I went ahead and synced thinking they were one and the same - The 40 or so albumns I had on the ipod reduced down to 16 or so. I still have the albumns and playlists on the iphone. How do I get the account to sync with all my music?

I am sure this is a stupid oversight on my part, your help would be really appreciated.

    Tx.

    Phil

right, if you have synced with a new lib, then they are gone.

however is they are still on the phone as you mentioned you can ssh into the phone (jailbreak, install openssh)

    navagate to /var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/Music

and copy all the songs back to you pc, to a folder, then in itunes import the folder and bang, all you music is off the phone.

You can use iFunbox to do it without using ssh - probably easier for someone who needs to ask about syncing music tbf.
