Blocking specific webpage

I know this probably isn't a Mac-specific question, but does anyone know if I can block access to a specific webpage using Safari (or even Firefox, I guess)? I don't mean blocking, say Facebook, but blocking access to a specific person's facebook page*? That kind of thing. Telling Safari to stop you from accessing a specific URL.

*I know you can use Facebook to block somebody, but that's not what I'm after in this case.

What you could do, on your wireless router at home, put a ban on that specific webpage url. So the router will block you seeing it.

If you access the site from elsewhere (school etc) it won't be blocked.I don't know how to do it within the browser or OS.

This is probably not really what you want but you could set up another account and use Parental controls to only allow certain websites etc

    See here for more info:

Blocking only one person on facebook would not be possible this way, but you could just allow bbc and not allow facebook, or set timelimits etc

Leechblock is a firefox addon. It should work for this.

However, if you're sufficiently determined, you can break your way around it. So you'll need a certain amount of willpower too. But the program is well built, there might be other ways for Safari as well. I'm not a Mac User and not overly fond of Safari so I'm not terribly familiar with that program.

No you can't apart from the Parental controls. The other thing with facebook is quite a few different URL's lead to the same page.

Are you stopping yourself or someone else accessing said page... it's very strange sounding request ;)

sounds like a Farmville addiction :)

I know you can block a domain by editing the hosts file but I've never managed to get it to block a specific page ...
