Engine computer broke

    Hello,

The engine computer on my wife's car, an 04 Vectra, broke a few weeks ago. We had it fixed (circa €1300) and now it works fine. We have heard that when the electrics start giving trouble, it is time to sell.

She is the second owner and it has 68,000 miles on clock.

If this is an allowed question, I would appreciate readers advice on this.

    Thanks.

My dad had a 2002 punto a couple of years back, the computer went on it, got it fixed (reimbursed from fiat) and the car powered on through. Its still going but had to undergo an full engine rebuild a couple of mnths back. The little brother thought he'd do a good thing and top up the oil, unfortunately he overfilled the oil and drove it around. Oil got everywherem head gasket blew and engine was ****ed.

So you might have to sell but I personally wouldn be too bothered about it

After spending so much money on the car, you might as well try and get some of it back in the form of usage.
