I was going to buy a new laptop for personal use. I really only use it for the internet, digital photos and digital music. Now i'm looking at the I-Pad and wondering would this be a better idea than buying a new lap top?
i love the idea that it's so small and portable and seems to have high enough memory and even be good for downloading movies etc.
    thanks

Depends, what are you going to do with the photos? Print them? At the moment then, the ipad is not for you!
That should be remedied soon though.

i don't print them. just up-load them from the digital camera and keep them on the lap top.
