I have my prescription from my last contact lens test. Could I use this to buy prescription sunglasses?

i.e. is the prescription for my glasses the same as my contact lenses (I wear Toric lenses) or is there differences :o:confused:

There'd be slight differences between the two, usually the contact lens rx is a little weaker than the glasses rx, this is because the lens is directly on the eye, so the difference between the lens and the eye is negligible, whereas with glasses you need to account for that difference for focusing etc. There might be slight differences between the axis and cyls also, glasses can be made to a more accurate axis and cyl rx, than some contact lenses (though this is dependant on both rx and on the contact lens manufacturer, ie dailies will not be as accurate as say, montlies as it's not ecconomically profitable to make the dailies in all the minute axis and cyl variations the monthlies come in).
