    Hi All,

I received a small green form in the post "Declaration of Unemployment"

It is asking me: Was I unemployment between two different dates?

Well I was and they know I was because:

    (1) I signed on on the 19th April and this letter refers to the 22nd April
    (2) The other date is the 19May which has not occured yet
    (3) Im due to sign back on for the next month on the 19th May

Do you think there is some question about my actual unemployment? Are they doubting my unemployment? Do they send these to everybody?

Obviously by my questions Im not up to speed on welfare payments.

It sounds as if you are on postal signing because you live far from your local office. These slips are how you sign on by sending them back in and declaring you are still unemployed and looking for work. You would only have to go into the office to sign in person once every 3 months.

Oh right. I actually dont even live in the same county as the office(strange ) but I had to sign on in person on the 19th of last month but I only signed on for the first time on the 22nd March.

The phone in Social Welfare Limerick just rings out.

You are probably on postal signing then. You just need to send in one of your green slips each month which is you effectively signing on. Then the month you are due to attend in person they will send you a slip telling you that.
