    Hi All

I am looking to get an old piano restored but haven't a clue about how to go about it. It needs a complete overhaul but looking to get it restored for sentimental purposes and its a very good piano!

    Any advise please?
    Thanks!

That piano centre has repairmen and tuners on the books - they tend to do Steinways and that so they'd probably be fine but...
and its a very good piano!

Do you play? It might look great but in fact be complete nonsense. A lot of uprights just aren't worth saving. Go into any serious music institution and the majority of the pianos will be contemporary Yamahas and Steinways.

    Hi Jimi
Yes I do play and have played for years. So do other members of the family. We have taken the examinations on the grades etc.

Its a Collard & Collard Piano. I have been told that before it deteriorated, it had a beautiful sound. Am very interested in restoring it, just need someone good!

Might be worth tipping into Waltons aswell. They do the Yamaha Uprights which are restored so they might know someone.
