I applied in sept 2009 for JSA - I was self employed and had recently closed my business. Ultimatly I was refused but appealed and received a letter in January saying that my appeal was being processed. I was not asked to sign since then. I received a letter from the local office this week asking me to sign every four weeks until such time as my claim is processed. I have not found a job yet and am basically living on loans from my parents.
Any opne have the same experience.?

    Thanks

I am going through similar thing, I have been waiting 7 months.

A friend of mine was the same, he had to sign on after he closed his business even though he did not receive any payments and after a while he went for a meeting with the inspector. I am not sure whether he go any payments in the end though.

Go to your local Community Welfare Officer, they might be able to help you.
