Any one got any tips for travelling to France for the Marmotte? I'm flying to Lyon & am debating renting a car or getting the train to Grenoble & then bus to Bourg.....

Has anyone done this journey? How did they find it with a bike?

    Thanks,

I have flown to Geneva and will be flying this time to Grenoble. Rented a car last time and will be doing the same this time.

    Cheers Blorg,

Out of curiosity, have you priced up your rental car? My problem is I'm going for 8 days with a tour group on my own. The cheapest car I could find was €230 with Avis about a week ago. It's a nice bit to add on with everything else...
