aircraft maintenance (electrical)

    Hi folks,
    I've always wanted to work with aircraft, for some reason I never done anything about it after my leaving cert I done an apprenticeship as an electrician, wiring houses, factory maintenance etc...

    I'm just finished this apprenticeship now and find myself unemployed. Am now wondering could I do an apprenticeship in electrical maintenance with aircraft.

    Im not even sure if you can do an apprenticeship in such a field or would one have to go to college to get into this area??

    If anyone here works in this field or anyone has any advice I'd greatly appreciate to hear it.
