Hi wondered if anyone had any experience with any of these? I need to replace my washing machine, I have a budget of about 350 and need a largish capacity, at least 6kg load. I have been looking at the Hoover, is this the best to get for my money?

hoover have some excellent features on there machines now ,however they are extremly badly put together and the quality of materials used is poor -hoover and candy are basically the same machine

for 350 you could easily get a 6 kg zanussi 1400 spin

or this samsumg isnt bad with 2 years warrenty http://www.powercity.ie/?brands=SAMSUNG&pages=1&par=40-01

its so confusing with all the different makes and some being the same as the others...

does this mean that I would be better off buying a brand like Beko than spending more on the Hoover? Do you think that a Zanussi is the best value on the market at the minute?

zanussi are good value at the moment - bear in mind that your everyday wash is going to be 40 degrees or less ,so most machines have this nailed -time should be in the region of 1 hr 2o mins on an a rated machine -

in my opinion at the moment the bosch washers are the best value 1 hr 14 on a 40 wash and they have a 15 min quick wash freshen up cycle ,real handy ,but its just personal opinion

a friend of mine loves there beko and if they are serviced and kept free of all blockages they give a good wash

a sales man in a shop will try and sell you what hey are getting most commission on at that particular time as they have a weekly target to meet -

try to go to a smaller shop not he big three retailers ,you will get better advice and service -big chains are on the decline you will see smaller local shops springing back up in the next 5 years

Hotpoint and indesit are the same company and to be honest they are complete sh1te... Just google the the hotpoint brand to see the type of problems..

Although if you are forced by the price take out the extended warrenty. They all seem to go in year 2

Got a Bosch Classix 6 1200 Express about a year ago. The build quality is top notch. I can't remember if it is in your price range but it was there abouts.

after getting a huge esb bill in this week  the budget got cut drastically, so had a choice between getting a beko or an Indesit. anyway ended up getting the indesit for 279, it's a 7kg/1200 machine, to be honest if it lasts me a couple of years I'll be happy. hopefully the budget will have improved for the next time.

Thanks for all the advice, i'll start saving now for a flash one...

I was just going to reccommend a beko 8227,having worked in an electrical shop I would have advised not touching Indesit, but best of luck with it.

Hoover have a 5 year parts warranty on washing machines - the part that usually fails first is the motor (or rather the brushes for the motor). You can order parts online and they post them out to you.

Still wouldn't go for it even with a 5 year parts
