Does anyone know what company I woukd have to contact to get rights to have champions league fixtures etc displayed on my website?Ive looked everywhere and all I can find is a number for UEFA,not even an email address and nothing at all to do with contact information for this kind of thing.
Maybe it's free to do this? Im only asking because I discovered the Premier league charge to do this so Im assuming UEFA do as well?
    Thanks.

    It's not going to happen.

One way round is to link to the list on their site and have it open in a new window but may not suit the application you want to use it for.

Fixtures the X v Y bit - not the broadcast? The actual fixtures are so embeded in the public domain the isnt a possibility that there is an ounce of copyright or any way that there would be an infringement on reproducing the actual fixtures.

No I dont want to broadcast games at all. Just fixtures, group tables and maybe player ratings. It's a Fantasy Football type idea.
I know their are a few champs league fantasy football sites (UEFA itself and sky) so their must be a way of getting the rights to do this.
I know the fixtures/results are available everywhere but so are the premier leagues and they sell the rights to publish them!madness

Fixture should be fine - they are well into the public domain so I cant see there being a problem there.

League tables - well once you have the results of matches you can input them into a spreadsheet and it calculates the tables!

Player ratings - well you cant simply rip off someone else's work, you may have to do your own ratings.

You don't need the rights for that. You are only reporting events and not stealing their IP.

I would be careful OP, a lot of advice here is more than likely based on assumption that its all public domain but as you pointed out yourself with the Premier League you have to pay a license fee and I would imagine its something similar with the Champions League. Im sure most people would have assumed the premier league data was public domain too, and its stupid that it isnt to be honest.

You would be better to find some concrete information that says you can use them before you do. Even contact one of the other sites displaying them instead of trying to directly get in contact with UEFA and see if they had to get permission.

Its also possible that the license is based on them being displayed a certain way or in a certain format and if you did it a different way you wouldnt have any problems.
