Inspector's visits

I have been waiting since Oct 09 for my JSA to be approved. It is a repeat claim. We moved house in March and funnily enough the same week we moved house the inspector rang me to tell me he was in my area and wanted to come and visit. I told him that was fine but we had moved house and gave him the address, and because it was to a different county he said it wasn't in his area and he would pass my file on the the new office and that another inspector would ring me and make an appointment.
A month went by and I heard nothing from them and so I went into the new office where I was told that I had to request my file be transferred from the old office. I have done this and that was two weeks ago. I went in last friday morning to ask if anything had been done and they told me that my file had been sent to another office and that someone would call me back. Low and behold no one has rung me.
Will the inspector send a letter out with an appointment time?? Or will he just land on my doorstep?
Also the new office told me about the CWO which no one had told me about before. They said just go in with my card and a photo id and they might give me some money. Things are very tough at home at the moment, my parents split up hence we have moved house. What is the CWO like? I am very nervous about going in to him/her.

Best phone the local HSE office and find out the name of the CWO for the area in which you live and the day/s he/she sees people from your area. I would bring more than ID and PRSI card - perhaps bring much the same as you did when you applied for Jobseekers - any P45, bank statements for past three months, evidence of address etc. No need to be nervous. The more open you are and more evidence you offer that you need help, the more likely you are to get it fast. You should keep on the tail of your benefit claim also to make sure it doesn't fall through the cracks.
