Very interesting episode. Very different I felt. It was very slow moving which I actually liked. I thought it was pretty obvious that he was going to be hung up on something to do with Cuddy. Looking at the preview for next week's season finale I'm guessing

something happens to her and her life will be in danger or they'll have a huge argument.

I'm also wondering what the significance of him slowly turning into an alco will be?

Thought the line at the start when Cuddy said she had a case for him and House replied "of Beer?" was funny. Quite a serious episode really.

Looking forward to next week's ep, can't wait to see what the cliffhanger is. Here's the preview:

The Black Oil

I enjoyed it. It could have been a bit dodgy as it was a very talky episode. I was never able to warm to Juan Alvarez - unfortunately he's in the finale. I liked the design of the episode - scenes of the therapist's office spliced into the hospital/Cuddy's office, etc.

Looking forward to next week.

A great episode. It's good to get something a bit more personal with House. I also don't like Juan although I'm sure he's meant to be annoying. The doc was good as was House walking out on him. Things are going to get interesting in the next installment as momentum has gathered.
It'll be interesting to see how the Cuddy thing goes. I think it's a credit to the show that it hasn't thrown them together by now. Things work best with House being his usual unhappy, disgruntled self. A relationship would seriously change the dynamic of the show and it would be difficult to do so in a good (speaking from an entertainment point of view) way.

The story telling methods used in this ep were very interesting, thoroughly enjoyed it from that point of view.

Otherwise, great episode. Absolutely cannot wait for the finale. I'm a total Huddy shipper but I'm not sure what would happen to the show if they got together. I suppose you could have said the same about House going off vicodin.

I really liked this episode. I always prefer the episodes revolving around House and delving into his psyche.

I haven't watched the preview of next weeks or read any spoilers but I'm going to put spoiler tags on the following anyway in case I annoy anyone!

I have a feeling that this weeks episode is a good prelude into a House losing it cliff hanger! And if it isn't I'll be disappointed. Actually, if the cliff hanger is something stupid like Taub's marriage breaking up I'll be pretty annoyed.

It was a great episode- I like the ones that are a bit different- and the more about House the better, for me!
