    Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a av cable that will iphone/pod to my factory stereo head unit. I heard somewhere that it will accept one as there is scope for a cd changer. I have a 2005 Renault Megane.

    Any info gratefully accepted.

    do a search for "connects2"

Think there are 2 types of stereo, the Tuner List and the Update List, will be written on the bottom right corner. which is yours?

Renault do a "tune point" cable that gives you line-in, USB and ipod connections, will work on either stereo.

I think this is the right one:

Check compatability with the iphone though, you need a connects2 ipod converter as well.

    maybe someone can elaborate.

Renault definitely do one, but I think it's over twice the price and I don't know what the craic is with using an iphone. I know on the Toyota system it will play tracks from an iphone but you have no control over what tracks it plays.

Great thanks. I hang off buying one on the hope someone else here has similar experiences. For the connects 2 ipod converter, would you have a link a to which exact one i would need, I just want to make sure its the right one I choose. Any idea on the cost of those? I can't see prices on the website.

edit: would this be the job http://cgi.ebay.ie/Connects2-CTIPOD-CONVERTER-iPhone-iPod-Charge-Adaptor-/400102976902

    2nd edit: I have a iphone 2G.

TO my knowledge, the iphone convertor is just an inline adaptor that connects between the ipod cable and the iphone. I think they're all the same.

It's actually an iphone convertor rather than an ipod convertor like I said earlier, sorry got my iThings arseways ;)
