Hero mms problem

How Soon Is Now

Ok i have probley asked this question 100 millions times in various places online now

But im still waitin for an answer that works.
How do i get mms messages working fully on either Sensehero1.6 (1.5 rom)
Or Sensehero 2.2 (2.1 rom) ???

I have entered the correct mms settings for meteor as far as i can see anyway i mean could this be the problem???

I really really need an answer to this its been a couple of weeks now and i still cant get this sorted its driving me crazy cause you pay this much for a phone and it cant even send pictures

Your settings are different to the confirmed meteor settings in the Android FAQ sticky.

Ok i changed the settings still not sending and i taught mmszap only worked on 2.1 roms???

By the way has anyone else noticed that when u go into apn list that there is no dot to select beside mms?? only data why is this?

Yes i am on sensehero 1.6 and i tried install every version of MMSzap and it says cant be installed on this phone.

I was going to suggest asking on the sensehero forum, but you're obviously already registered there. You'll piss people off by asking every 2nd post.

From looking back through the thread, one poster said he got MMS working by setting the MMS APN to default. Worth a shot.

Ah see i keep asking cause if i dont nothing will be done about it i have asked this question on i dunno how many sites and u rarely get a reply.
I mean if someone has something workin perfect and they know how its fixed why feck not just answer a person looking for help its not that hard id do it if i could help.
And anyway they seem to be forgettin about older rom problems and only worryin about the new stuff so harping on about it is only way i might get an answer

Does mms work for u and what rom are u using?
Also in your apn settings where it has meteor data and meteor mms is yours the same in mine as in i can not select mms only data??

Like im starting to think is this the problem.

There's never a radio button beside the MMS APN, nor should there be. That's not indicating that there's something wrong. Ensure your settings for your MMS APN are the exact same as those in the link provided by Mr E, and they should work. If not, you might need to check with Meteor.

Ya i dunno what else is the problem what is happening is i am going to send a pic message and its just hanging like nothing is happening.
Thing is if u ask meteor will they not just say its cause your not using a stock rom?

Plus what makes no sense is that the data network is working fine yet mms messages refuse to send.

I'm on Vodafone, using Kimera 1.8.
I just sent an MMS to myself and received it successfully.
However I got a Force Close when I tried to open it.

I don't use MMS to be honest, I prefer email if I'm sending pictures.

Gonna try Kimera 1.8 if it dont work on this i give up ffs

Jesus i did full wipe done everything correct install the new rom and it wont let me connect to the data network **** this just going to try sensehero 2.2 with MMSzap.....

lol lucky i did nandrood backup just went back to fully installed setup i had on 1.5 this morning so back to square one i guess still no mms haha

Gonna have a look at this now thanks man just have to remember how to do this adb thing its been awhile ha

Went threw it all step by step everything was right no error reports or anything and still seems to do nothing........ ah i dunno :-( I even went into meteor after word they could do feck all.

WooooHooooo finally sorted it kept trying the adb method and then tried the stock message app. It works so it seems handcent was part of the problem.

I have the exact same issue, and Im on a stock unrooted Desire.

If you're stock unrooted, then its your settings (it's going to a non-stock ROM that seems to break things). What network are you on?

Its on Meteor (Bought on bill, so standard settings). I deleted the settings and put them back on as per my iPhone settings (which work). No joy. Removed again and put in the exact settings as per here, still no joy!

EDIT: Its defo a handset issue, because when the SIM is in another phone, it works fine.

Try the MMSzap program mentioned early on in the thread and follow the steps.

If that does nothing get in touch with Meteor and they can reset your apn settings for you.
