This week im working 3 days and well under 20 hours
Can anyone tell me about it?
Would i get the money this week? or would i have to wait 6 weeks before i can go on it?

The number of hours a week you work doesn't really matter - if you work 20 hours a week over 5 days you would not be able to claim.
If you worked only 3 days you should be able to claim - as long as your overall hours and pay have been reduced, i.e. you were working 4 days a week, 20 hours and are now working 3 days and 10 hours you would be ok, however if you were still working 20 hours in the 3 days you would not be able to claim benefit.
No matter what you can still claim allowance which is means tested.

Ok thanks that helps a lot
Do i need to get something signed by my employer to proove it or anything?
Do i just go in and ask about it or can i download a form?

You can download the form but you still have to go into the office. They will probably give you a form for your employer to fill out or at the very least request some sort of letter from them.

You need to bring a letter from your employer with you, stating that from whatever date, your days have now been reduced to.. and also a date of when you might return to normal working hours. Some SW offices can be very strict on the way the letter is worded btw, myself and the girl i was working with went to two different offices with exactly the same letter. There was no questions asked about mine, she was told there wasn't enough info in the letter and it wasn't acceptable!

If one of those four days is a Sunday then yes. You'll still need to qualify for Benefit with your previous contributions.

    Wow i didnt know that
Ill go in today and ask about it but i was told that its closed today for some reason?? But ill chance it and see if its open
I work in a club but its going totally downhill i used to work sundays but as of this week its not open sundays anymore so i think ill just be on 3 days a week on and off
I only worked two days this week and came out with less than 80 euros,
Im finding fairly difficult to get by ive totally dug into my savings and they are allmost gone
Does anyone know how long ill be waiting to get paid from the social welfare?

Hi, I have the chance to do some part time work over the next few months (sat/sun) I'll be doing about 24hrs in two 12 hr shifts, just wondering the impact this would have on my JSB etc

    hi all
I'm a bit confused. I am working 4 days per week but one of them is sunday. eg: friday, saturday, sunday and monday. can I still apply for JB or I have to work only 3 days (including sunday or not)?
