Anyone any advice as to what the best way of getting rid of the dirt on the window is? I tried to dodge tool in aperture but it didn't turn out too well. I have PS too, would a mask layer be the way to go about it? - Not really too up on PS tbh!

Okedoke, looked at a few different PS tutorials, ended up using a mixture of techniques, still not great though.

Duplicated the layer, set opacity to 85%. Use the spot healing tool to create a clean area which I then selected as the "source" for the healing brush tool. Used a large soft brush to blend it as much as possible along the edges.

my only suggestion would be to use the clone tool before you do any PPing on it. Duplicate your layer, then select from an area where there's little to no dirt, and set your opacity low-ish so the change is gradual - and blend away :)

    best of luck!

so basically, you're goin' about it the right way, just maybe change your opacity to be a little lower...

Use the patch tool or healing brush in PS instead of the clone brush.
They can be much more subtle.
