peuguot 406 clutch problem?

bought a peugot 406 2.0 diesel 2 months ago( 00 c ).. last fri started making grinding noises when i pressed in the clutch ..on saturday it gave up and grinded to a halt...will turn over but wont start..looked under bonnet and found litte pieces of metal ???????? for a few weeks previous to that there was very litte power in it? a
any ideas wat it might be or cost of a clutch?

Sounds like it took out the crankshaft sensor or starter when the clutch failed...Causing it not to start....:eek:
As for prices....heres a link for the 90bhp 20hdi clutch which i guess is yours

As for fitting it will vary from garage to garage but i'd be guessing around
€150 for clutch (deliverd) + €150-€200 labour but that may vary if there is damage to the starter/crankshaft sensor.
Best thing is to ring around a few local garages and get a quote...:)

My suggestion would be new clutch kits. For me, it will cost me more for a repair compare to replacing your old clutch with new ones.
