What is the official line on this? In my school we always had to come in, work on policies or on other class work but heard recently this is not the norm. Any thought or hard facts?

Not sure what you're asking gaeilge, do you mean what should you be doing when your PLC classes are finished?

I consider myself free, use the time to correct other work etc. However, in my place if management is really stuck, they might find you hiding in the staffroom and ask you to cover a class, usually only when really stuck to be fair. It's the same as any other class being away.

we don't. I usually find that for the week or two after they've done their exams i'm usually correcting the exams or project work. We normally have an open day as well so i'd be doing some work for that, but ya in the main i'd have more free classes than normal

We always had to come in, a few raps on the knuckles were given when people didn't show last year, awful that different rules are there for different schools. I'd much rather do my correcting at home! Thankfully not a problem this year as on mat leave.
