    Hi,
I am embarking on my second web business. the first one is closed & made a loss but I have learned a lot.

My new venture is a sales site, it will require me to create memberships for my Clients to capture their:
    1. Username
    2. password
    3. & several other details relating to the service & integrate those details into a sales page for viewing by the web public

I can build basic websites & can integrate paypal myself but I am not familiar with how to create memberships & convert member details into sales pitches on members behalf.

Now that i think of it, it is like a classified advertisement website.

I would love to hear solutions that other members here found good or otherwise. i googled a bit & lots of solutions are popping up but i'd value your experience more so.
    thanks.

For client memberships, as you mentioned your site will be a classifieds site, have a look at AJ Classifieds as it is fairly mature software that has membership capability as well as payment gateways incorporated.

If that don't fit the bill and want more generic website membership, you could try Joomla CMS which as very good public/private webpage functionality.

Paypal is easy to setup - just go to their merchant services and add a new button.

Hi Gonzales, I recently worked on a site for a guy who wanted to list driving instructors who would pay a fee per month/year etc. My sites are geared for Realex but am looking into a possible Paypal switch. I since developd further for a different profession with more flexability. It might be of interest.

    Hi again Gonzales,

Correction to last post. I am not switching from Realex to Paypal....just looking to include Paypal as an alternative option.

It's not that difficult with a little knowledge and learning, what you need is a customer relations website that can track you members. There's plenty of free ones out there, Joomla with community manager works well and is free and you can track subscriptions. You can use plugins for Realex and paypal.
