I know banks won't, but do currency exchange places in airports change foreign coins back into your own currency? I have a bagful, over half a kilo, of coins from various different countries, there's over £10 worth there.

No they don't OP. They only change notes. Most banks only deal with notes too.

A lot of airports have a place where you can donate money (coins and notes) in any currency and it'll go to charity

You actually expect them to dig through half a kilo of coins, and say, "Oh a Dutch guilder, here's 3 cents... oh, a 1932 Deutschmark, there's 5 cents ... a Haitian dollar, 1.3 cents..." for hours on end?? A coin collector's shop might look at them. Bureaux de change will sometimes take high-value coins e.g. British £1.

I think you're confusing airports with runways.

Well, there are internet companies that actually do that so I don't see why not. It's just not worth my while to send it to an internet company since I don't have enough coins to qualify for free postage. Anyway, I have separated them all out myself and I actually have more than I thought. I have about £8 in Swedish money, about £5 in Danish, £5 in Norwegian, about £10 in Euros, and some small amounts of Indian and US dollars, even some French francs but I guess they don't take out of date ones any more?
