Consistency of shots

Just on a train of thought here (procrastination from study)

I'm trying to think of ways to make the fps output more reliable from an aeg, however I have a hunch that over a year, even with good air seals, you can't avoid having roughly a 20fps variance at least

Was just wondering for those of you who can remember, how much have you noticed the fps in you aeg vary over the last year? Highs and lows?

Personally I've seen my aegs stray from 280fps up to 310fps

It's mostly out of curiosity but I'd imagine this could be useful to those in a more sniper support role where consistency counts?

Also thinking of looking into quantifying aeg efficiency, getting more out of batteries, increase durability etc...

If anyone's seen threads on other sites or looked into it themselves, I'd be interested to see it too

After seeing thousands of guns chronoed on site, I would mostly put that 20fps leeway down to the outdoor atmospheric conditions on any given day. i would say that the output of most aegs is fairly consistant if chronographed indoors in a controlled enviroment.
    Just my opinion.

Yeah, I thought so, density of air varies by about 7% from 0-20C... right so that's a start, let's see if I can get anything worthwhile out of this, cheers
