Removing a windscreen wiper arm???

I need to remove the wiper arm on my '05 Vivaro but I'm stuck.
I thought it would simply be a matter of removing the nut but the arm won't budge.
Do I need some sort of puller to remove it or is there something else that I'm missing?

+1. Hold it as close to the nut as possible to reduce strain on the arm.

    Thanks Anan.
    What's holding it?
Is it just a very tight fit on the shaft?
    Would some WD40 help?

There are splines to stop it slipping from side to side. I don't think you'd be able to get WD40 in there, but a good bit of rocking has always done the trick for me.

Yeah, I assumed it's on a splined shaft. What I was wondering was what is stopping it from sliding off the splined shaft? Still not a budge from it though.:(
Any point in getting one of these?

Couple of hits with a hammer the shocks might loosen it up for you
