Can anyone tell me if there are walks/open areas/parks around Blessington lake, that you could take a dog

    Astonished there's no replies.

Bout a mile or two outside Blessington on the road to Naas, there's a gorgeous forest walk.

The lake itself is accessible from several areas. Most of the bridges have an access to the beach. There's another one in Lacken village, take the road down the hill from the church.

How long do these walks take?

Dogs need to be leashed unless their pretty well trained. There's a fair bit of wildlife, squirrels etc that they might chase.

Glending (the forest between naas and blessington) is pretty easy, there are some rough paths you can take if you want but the main ones are gravel so buggies shouldn't be a problem.

The lakeshore wouldn't suit a buggy but the dogs will love it!

As for length, well you can wander around glending as long as you want. Likewise the lakeshore, well, you can just keep walking!
