With this years European Championship leaving out the rest of the world it seems a bit puzzling that the IAAF Continental Cup does not become more appealing a competition as it is the only other "Global Championship". Should this event be scraped and another introduced to fill the void in the years without a WC or OG or…

With this years European Championship leaving out the rest of the world it seems a bit puzzling that the IAAF Continental Cup does not become more appealing a competition as it is the only other "Global Championship".

Should this event be scraped and another introduced to fill the void in the years without a WC or OG or should it be left as a year to chase records for the rest of the world?
