Everytime i log onto boards,everything is in bold

This has been going on the last week or two. Its hard to describe this but here goes. When you log onto the training logs for example the only threads in bold should be the ones that have been posted since the last time you were logged on,but everything is in bold for me....i mean everything,all the way to the last…

Its hard to describe this but here goes.

When you log onto the training logs for example the only threads in bold should be the ones that have been posted since the last time you were logged on,but everything is in bold for me....i mean everything,all the way to the last page,its the same on every forum...very annoying at this stage.

How do i remedy this ?

It's the same for me, I usually know how to fix it but I've been too lazy. Maybe it's something to do with the board settings if it's happening to both of us?

Is everything in bold? Threads with new posts since your last visit should show up in bold.

Everything is in Bold...stuff thats weeks old...
if i go in now and read a couple of posts,they will not be bold the next time i go in but everything else will.

Someone must be able to fix this

Been noticing the same thing recently as well. Ross or Conor may have changed something, but best to go and investigate/ ask/ hassle them over on Feedback probably.

It's a new method of tracking read posts being used by vBulletin. There's a thread in Feedback (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055897522) about it from the Admins. Basically they're using a database to track the info instead of cookies which means faster load time and a few other benefits.

To resolve the all posts showing as unread, next time you're finished on boards, go to your Control Panel (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/usercp.php), click Quick Links and select Mark Forums Read. Next time you log in you should be back to normal (I think, worked for me anyway).

Edit: Actually, no need to go to the CP, that menu is on the top of most pages. Not a bad idea to get into the habit of doing it each time you leave Boards to keep things tidier...
