    good reaad. thanks for posting.

strange how a band like the stones, who started out as such a rebelious band with 'hippie' ideals have succumbed to the capitalist money-grabbing virtues you are least likely to associate with the hippie movment.

To be fair to the Stones, Taylor walked away and he wasn't part of the songwriting process anyway, so I can't see why Mick & Keith are in anyway responsible for Mick Taylors demise. by the way, anyone with any hippie sensibilities shouldn't be reading the Daily Mail, right wing rag.

How and why he left the Stones is missing the point IMO. All he is looking for is what he is owed. A drop in the ocean to Messrs Jagger and Richards.

As for the Daily mail.... dont shoot the messenger, plus, it is a long time since I had any "hippie sensibilities" :D.

I came across the link on another forum.

whether he left by his own accord or not isnt relly the point at all. if he had a hand in writing some of the tunes, which he claims he did, then hes owed royalties.

There's plenty of stories (for example Gram Parsons) of people coming in to jam with the stones and what they play is then recorded and credited to mick/keith on albums.
