    Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can get an attic trap door with folding ladder.

I am building an airtight house so it needs to be airtight and insulated.

All the ones i've seen in hardware stores and on the internet are not airtight. Most of them have a rubber gasket on frame but the locking mechanism is not sealed.

    Any suggestions welcome.

    Fuchia

just bought an air tight one online and recieved it this weekend. You would do a better job your self with at standard door and use airtight membrane on the outside and good quality draft sealers on the door itself.

Loook up SD or SD 25 part l on google for an idea of the one i got. They are part l compliant in the u.k. wrt air tightness.

Dont stira do a hood that goes over their standard ladder, its insulated and draught proof. Wont fit other brands, tried to get one for a retrofit to a fakro, but no joy. i'm sure it was stira, but there are other ones available online.
