I've been in IT long enough to know that anyone that splashes other peoples trade marked and registered logos at the top of its home page is not to be trusted.

If a company doesn't give a toss about using other companies trade marks to sell itself probably doesn't care much about its customers.

Not exactly a company you'll be buying from as domain name is registered to a sole trader, hardly a big company operation.

The site is too new to have any history, I can't say if they are good or bad and just my prejudice about misuse of logos ;)

Similar whois for www.cheaplaptops.ie but as 300+ domains are hosted on the same server I think the shop front is bigger than the operation behind it.

As far as I can tell the business is registered so they are not hiding anything.

Key Company Details for SARACEN TECHNOLOGIES LTD

    Registered Company Number475766

No other info I can find at this time on the web

www.laptopsireland.ie are another company useing the same registered company details.

They're located right behind my offices in Toughers Business park - nice guys to deal with.

Can't comment on prices or spec as its not my area, but you can call into them - directly behind K Bowl & beside Newbridge Gas.

Goto http://www.hardwareversand.de and click the "english" option on the top right. Then choose "PC Configurator" on the pages toolbar, to build the PC yourself.

Haven't done this yet, but I have bought over a thousand euro worth of stuff from there. The only "bad" thing is that they don't do credit card. They do however do bank transfer, which I did with AIB online. A few people on these forums have used them.

Unfortunately we cannot offer any pricing discounts this month as we are expecting prices to rise by between 8 & 15% Across the range of machines over the next week or so . As you can see from our site and other sites the prices of component has increased by as much as 20% over the last month . This has beens caused by the fact that the Euro has reduced in Value against both the US Dollar & £ Sterling . Good for exports but not good for anyone in Ireland purchasing a PC or laptop .
You will also see that prices on UK sites have also increased as the £ Sterling has also dropped against the dollar.

Our prices are tied to the Euro - US Dollar - Sterling Group Rates.
If you want to see the exchange rates increases please visit www.xe.com

We are expecting to increase the range of video card & motherboard option available on our i7 Range week . We will also join the i7 Pro & i7 systems creating a lower base cost but offering more options .

Again , Sorry we cant help with the price but hopefully we can help you in the near future.

The Above will link will bring you to the New i7 Builder . Its not complete yet but should be complete within the next 24 hours . It will give you an idea of where we are taking the i7 system configuration tool .

We have added More Video Cards , More SLI & Crossfire Options obviously with Limitations of the motherboards .

More Sound Card Options , More Memory Options , More HDD & SSD Options , More Motherboard Options , I think you see what we mean .

Our systems should be at least 20% Cheaper than Alienware models when you take into account optional extras. I say this but I am sure somebody will show me different . I mean this as a general rule not as Fact.

To truly compare our systems to Alienware models You should choose the Antec 900 MKII Case . This is a fantastic quality Case & looks good too.

I have deleted the last two posts on this thread, as it is a matter between a company (customer and first poster) and their supplier (CustomePC and responder). Airing your dirty laundry in public like this is highly unprofessional, and CustomPC, publishing the content of private emails between yourself and a customer is the absolute height of unprofessional business behaviour.

I'm locking this thread too, as this has no place here. You can solve whatever issue is between your two companies in private.
