...Well it is the internet.

I was wondering what the ratio was like in AH and I always wonder what gender posters are. So here's a poll I'll leave this one open.

I was going to put in "Other" as an option but I figured it wouldn't exactly be well represented :rolleyes:

On a similar note:

There's a good few facebook groups like "Girls have sh*t banter" and the likes but at the same time if you go to a house party and its a sausagefest noone seems too pleased.

So... What'd be your ideal at a party? Do guys ruin the craic for girls too?

I generally find the lads more fun and I have a girlfriend so a heavy guy:girl ratio suits me just fine. But its good to have other girls there. Gives more of a balance. I've asked a few girls and a surprising amount say that they have way more fun hanging out/partying with guys more than other girls.

I kinda agree with this OP, sometimes I wander over to the lady parts of boards and I get so bored I have to come back here.

I concur. I would avoid 'girls nights out' or 'just girls' events like the plague. Girls in the main talk drivel and sometimes they cry when they're drunk, I can't be dealing with that.

Thats just one type of girl though - the majority of us are user friendly

I love hanging out with guys in real life but the guys on the internets are a very different breed. Some internet guys can be really hurtful towards women, Irish women in particular and I never experienced that side of men until I started coming on here. They are usually very nice in real life tbh. I have just realised that may have something to do with the fact that in real life there are usually real boobs just in front of you, and guys like boobs and usually agree with everything the boobs say.

Parties should be guy heavy though, we get more attention that way :pac:

Having a public poll that reveals gender could unfortunately be problematic for female posters.
It is unfortunate but true that once gender has been revealed female posters have been in the past harassed because of this.
All that ever happens to me is I get sent lingerie and naked pics all the time.
But it has come up in the past. Hence it's probably a good thing that this thread's poll is private.

Well, so far the numbers seem to be just about matching up the public Poll.

I suppose their might be some that want to remain asexual but is there really that many?

As far as I can tell from posting on Boards over the years, men don't hide the fact they are men and women don't seem to hide the fact they are women.

It would be quite hard and awkward to word your posts in such a way that you could be either sex anyway.

I have seen the odd person try though - both men and women.

I do agree that the Poll should not be made public now though, as people might have only taken part because the Poll was private.
